He began his career in diplomacy in 2007, taking up the position of Ambassador of the Order of Malta in Cuba. From 2007 to 2011 - Ambassador to Cuba. During his diplomatic service in Cuba, he founded eateries for the poor and sick that are still operating today. He took care of the San Lazaro leper hospital in Havana, equipping the hospital with medical and surgical equipment.
He organized a number of humanitarian aids to help the victims of natural disasters (hurricanes and earthquakes) in Antigua & Barbuda, Chile, Cuba and Indonesia.
